I might be more in favor of "drilling" in Alaska now.

TPMMuckraker | Talking Points Memo | AK Gov. Says Staffer Pressed for Trooper's Firing: "AK Gov. Says Staffer Pressed for Trooper's Firing
By Kate Klonick - August 13, 2008, 9:53PM

In a press conference this afternoon, Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) conceded that someone inside her administration pressured the state's Department of Public Safety to fire State Trooper Mike Wooten, Palin's former brother-in-law, who is now embroiled in a bitter custody battle with Palin's sister."

Well this should be the perfect pick to replace Dick Chaney. After all she's Anti gay, pro gun, anti choice. And her husband works for BP.

I can't wait to hear grandpa McCain explain how a 44 year old 1 term Governor fits into his "lack of experience" thing he says a 47 year old 1 term Senator doesn't have? I'm sure his explanation will have something do to with being a P.O.W.

On a side note, Maybe we can enter the term VPILF into the English language.

When I heard about Palin, I was reminded of Karl Rove's inane comment from about a week ago regarding 'intensely political choices' for Veep. Rove got it exactly right. He just got the party wrong.

That is very true. It's going to be a interesting election.
