The artical is interesting though, it's good that girl is coming forward and telling what really happend. After so much crap was built up about her it takes a lot of guts to come forward. She could have just rode the hero BS out, but she came out to help Pat Tillman’s family get the real truth about his death. For those that haven't been keeping score, he is the NFL player that turned down the contract to join the army after 9/11. He was shot by friendly fire and the msm/Bushies tried to make it out he was killed by the enemy. I don't know why they think we need the propiganda and lies. Obiviously friendly fire isn't good, but it happens (it shouldn't but it does). He's still died serving his country with honor.

Consider all the airtime and column space given to the villain of the Virginia tragedy, to his 23-page statements and his 43 sickening photographs. Now compare it with the references one needs to search for two heroes who gave their own lives to save others'.

Do NBC and others find no significance and educational value to highlight the sacrifice made by these two gentlemen?

I hope that media will suspend repeatedly playing the killer's tapes and videos and dedicate some space to honor examples of bravery like Liviu Librescu, the 76-year-old maths professor who held shut the door of his classroom while his pupils scrambled to safety, and was then shot dead .

Another fallen hero is Virginia Tech student Waleed Mohammed Shaalan, who was hit by three bullets, including one in the head, in an attempt to save a fellow student.

Shaalan, 32, had been at Virginia Tech since August studying for a Ph.D. in civil engineering. He was ambitious, saying he wanted to follow in the footsteps of Ahmed Zewail, an Egyptian who won the Nobel prize for chemistry in 1999, said his father, Mohammed Shaalan, 65.

The day before Monday's massacre, Shaalan called home and said he intended to visit Egypt next month and then return to Virginia with his wife and 15-month-old son who had been living in Egypt, his parents said Thursday. The family got another call two days later. The Egyptian Embassy in Washington told them Shaalan had been one of the 32 victims.

Left in Aboite has a post that sort of leads me to this insane rambling. I didn't want to use his comment area as my soapbox.

It's not gun control we need, it's police that aren't hidding behind trees and cars, all while wearing body armour. Just like Columbine. All the cops are taking cover while the victims are in there getting shot down. Good job chief, have another doughnut.

The thing is the gun used weren't machine guns or anything crazy. I'm not gun expert, but it seems glock 9mm is pretty easy to get, don't all the rappers have them? All the control in the world wouldn't stop this kind of thing. If you want a gun you can get one. I know a guy that knows a guy, and I bet most people do. They might not admit it. Background checks and bs like that won't stop someone from getting a gun or killing people. If it's not a gun then they go with a homemade bomb strapped to their chest.

The problem isn't gun control, the problem is media coverage. NBC has suck bellow Fox news. (If that is possible) They way they show all the video and pictures and ramblings of that Cho guy. Remember before you go on a killing rampage, send a tape to NBC so they can make you famous after you kill yourself. I bet his parents are so proud, after slaving away in thier dry cleaning buisness so Jr. can go to school and make something of himself, he repays them by becomeing a famous killer. Couldn't NBC wait till the victims bodies were cold before they got there "scoop". I am surprised they let police or FBI look at the package before they started showing it on the air.

Kucinich says he's pursuing impeachment? Well let's help him out. Sacks and sacks of mail are about to arrive in Dennis Kucinich's office initiating impeachment via the House of Representative's own rules. This legal document is as binding as if a State or if the House itself passed the impeachment resolution (H.R. 635).

Kucinich says he is building his case for impeachment, and is working to build the support of his peers in Congress. He says he intends to impeach. He said he needs us to keep building the groundswell of support for impeachment all over the country. He asks that we send him copies of all the resolutions passed in various States, local Legislative Districts, County Districts and of any petitions with signatures, so that he can present them to the floor of the House. He said he felt that our framing the issue of impeachment in terms of the Constitution is a principled choice, and ultimately more effective than just acting on anger. Let's answer Kucinich's call with a petition that has it's precedent in history, and it's legitimacy in the Rules of the House of Representatives.

There's a little known and rarely used clause of the "Jefferson Manual" in the rules for the House of Representatives which sets forth the various ways in which a president can be impeached. Only the House Judiciary Committee puts together the Articles of Impeachment, but before that happens, someone has to initiate the process.

That's where we come in. In addition to a House Resolution (635), or the State-by-State method, one of the ways to get impeachment going is for individual citizens like you and me to submit a memorial. ImpeachforPeace.org has created a new memorial based on one which was successful in impeaching a federal official in the past. You can find it on their website as a PDF.

You can initiate the impeachment process and simultaneously help Kucinich to follow through with the process. Do-It-Yourself by downloading the memorial, filling in the relevant information (your name, state, etc.), and sending it in. We're not only having you send them to Dennis now, but also to Impeach for Peace. That way, we can collect them all in one place, and deliver them all simultaneously (with cameras rolling) in July. All the Cons and their dear leader Bush want everyone to worry so much about terrorist in Iraq they forget about ol' Al-cracker. Alive and well in places like Virginia. I haven't seen enough information to get on a gun control soapbox. I can't find any news source that says what kind of gun he was carrying. I am sure it's going to be a huge call for gun control and there is already a conspiracy therory on how this was set up by the goverment to get more gun control and security at schools. Every time something bad happens some morons have to make it worse with their stupid conspiracy crap.

One last thing to think about, this is what people in Iraq live with EVERY FUCKING DAY because we thought we could make their lives better. It's very sad, we are all shocked because 32 people were killed by one guy today in just a few hours. This happens about every day in Iraq. We don't even bat a eye anymore. Moral superior my ass.
