Tenn. Man Kills Self at Council Meeting - NEWS - US NATIONAL - Comcast.net

People in Fort Wayne, think our City Council meetings are bad?

For those of you that don't live in Fort Wayne, this is the reason that story caught my attention. Fort Wayne Left, Jeff's last few post have been about a local BBQ business owner who's health really went down hill, probably due to the stress of having to deal with the health inspectors and them forcing him to only run his business a few days a week.

We are having a election for mayor coming up, I wonder how the candidates feel about this?

    Dan,

I submitted some comments about this to Fort Wayne Observed, and I'll say something similar here.

I don't know all of the details about this man's rezoning, but the article that I read states that his business had been struggling and he wanted to rezone the property so he could leverage more money to pay for his space. If he would have received the rezoning, and he was able to borrow more money, how would he have repaid the loan?

This is certainly a tragic story, there is no doubt about that.

It really doesn't seem it was city council's fault his business was having trouble. Your right also, getting another loan would have just been more debt he would have more trouble paying
